The Faculty of Law at Sangam University successfully organized the “3rd National Moot Court Competition 2026” from April 15 to 17, 2026, marking a grand celebration of legal intellect, advocacy, and academic excellence. The three-day national-level event witnessed enthusiastic participation from premier law institutions across the country, with students demonstrating exceptional legal acumen and courtroom skills.
Participating institutions included Sir Pratap Law College, Career Point University, GLS University, ICFAI University, University of Rajasthan, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Asian Law College, and National Law University Tripura, among others.
The competition commenced with an inaugural ceremony graced by eminent legal personalities including Raghunandan Singh as Chief Guest, along with distinguished guests Umed Singh, Kunal Ojha, and Rishi Tiwari.
Throughout the competition, participants showcased impressive argumentation, legal reasoning, and presentation skills. The judging panels featured esteemed advocates and legal experts including Bhupendra Singh Charan, Mukesh Sharma, Rakesh Nuwal, Ramgopal Chandak, and Puneet Sharma. The semifinal round was evaluated by Krishna Kishore Trivedi, Mohammad Haroon Chippa, and Vinita Vyas.
The grand finale was judged by Shiv Kumar Sharma, Anju Gehlot, and Poonam Bishnoi, who ensured a fair and meticulous evaluation of the finalists.
The competition concluded with ICFAI University emerging as the winner, receiving a cash prize of ₹20,000, while Sir Pratap Law College secured the runner-up position with ₹10,000. Individual accolades were awarded to Yash Bohra as Best Speaker and Sumit Kumar for Best Memorial, each receiving ₹5,000.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Abhay Jain, Vishal Bhargav, and Nagendra Singh.
A special note of appreciation was extended by the Vice Chancellor, Karunesh Saxena, who emphasized that such academic initiatives play a crucial role in bridging theoretical legal education with practical courtroom exposure. He highlighted that national-level moot court competitions not only enhance advocacy skills but also prepare students to face real-world legal challenges with confidence and competence.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Omprakash Somkuwar. The competition report was presented by Gaurav Saxena, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Aditya Dadhich. The event witnessed active participation from faculty members and was smoothly anchored by Rani Lodha and Angad Meghvanshi.
The successful event not only provided a competitive platform but also fostered a spirit of legal excellence, collaboration, and professional growth among aspiring law professionals.
