Lupin Foundation Inaugurates NCD Corners in Rajasthan

Jaipur: On the occasion of World Health Day, the CSR arm of Lupin Limited, the Lupin Human Welfare and Research Foundation, inaugurated two Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) corners in Karauli and Hindaun districts of Rajasthan. The foundation also plans to establish seven more NCD corners in a phased manner across Jaisalmer, Baran, Dholpur, and Sirohi districts.

This initiative reflects the foundation’s commitment to strengthening healthcare facilities for better management of non-communicable diseases, ensuring easier access to diagnosis and treatment for communities.

The inauguration event was attended by Deputy Controller of Karauli District Hospital Dr. Bhuvnesh Bansal, Chief Medical Officer of Hindaun Dr. Pushpendra Gupta, District Program Manager of National Health Mission in Karauli Ashutosh Pandey, CSR Head of Lupin and LHWRF Tushara Shankar, and Head of the LIVES Program Dr. Nachiket Sule.

The initiative is part of the Desh Bandhu Jan Arogya Seva Program, also known as the LIVES Program, which aims to strengthen the public healthcare system and improve treatment facilities for NCD-related illnesses. Under this program, health centers will be equipped with essential diagnostic and patient-care devices such as digital blood pressure monitors, ECG machines, spirometers, glucometers, pulse oximeters, stadiometers, digital weighing machines, measuring tapes, and examination tables.

Additionally, nursing staff will be provided with Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to help raise awareness in communities about lifestyle diseases, preventive measures, and healthy habits. The initiative focuses on promoting early diagnosis and supporting long-term disease management to improve overall community health.

Dr. Bhuvnesh Bansal emphasized the importance of strengthening district hospitals to effectively manage non-communicable diseases. He stated that the collaboration with Lupin Foundation in establishing and upgrading NCD corners is a significant step toward improving timely diagnosis, accurate treatment, and long-term patient care.

Tushara Shankar highlighted that the foundation’s goal is to enable healthier lives and build stronger communities. Through the LIVES Program, the foundation is working to provide equitable healthcare services for non-communicable diseases by strengthening district hospitals, promoting early screening, ensuring continuous treatment, and raising awareness—ultimately aiming for long-term health improvements across Rajasthan.
