Vidyapeeth’s Digital Initiative Receives Nationwide Recognition on International Yoga Day

Udaipur, The online Yoga Quiz organized by Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (JRNRV), Udaipur, on the occasion of International Yoga Day 2026 has achieved remarkable success, setting a new participation record. Conducted from June 14 to June 22, the quiz attracted 6,105 participants from 22 states across India, making it the highest participation ever recorded in any online academic quiz organized by the university.

Expressing his delight over the achievement, Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot said that the university’s effort to disseminate the ancient wisdom of yoga through modern digital technology has proven highly successful. He noted that the record participation reflects the growing curiosity among people to understand the scientific, philosophical, and practical aspects of yoga. He described the initiative as an important step toward building a healthier, more aware, and knowledge-driven society.

Dr. Chandresh Chhatlani, Associate Professor and developer of the quiz software, explained that the university’s in-house web application featured randomized question selection, instant result generation, and QR code-based verifiable digital certificates. Despite the record participation of 6,105 users, the online platform functioned smoothly throughout the event without any technical issues, demonstrating the institution’s technological competence and commitment to digital innovation.

Dr. Rohit Kumawat, Coordinator of Yoga Day 2026 activities, stated that the quiz covered topics related to the history and philosophy of yoga, asanas, pranayama, and human physiology. Participants joined from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Telangana.

He also acknowledged the contributions of Dr. Vikas Dangi and Dr. Lalit Salvi in the successful execution of the event.

Organized under the activities prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the program played a significant role in promoting health awareness, yoga literacy, and digital engagement. The university administration expressed gratitude to all participants, educators, students, and collaborators across the country and reaffirmed its commitment to launching similar innovative initiatives in the future to make yoga accessible to people from all walks of life.
