Vasudev Devnani Participates in Stone Mart–2026

Jaipur: Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani described Rajasthan’s stone as a historical, cultural, scientific, and global heritage, stating that beyond being a construction material, it stands as a silent witness to time, civilization, and sustainability.
Addressing the four-day Stone Mart–2026, held at JECC, Sitapura, Devnani said that sandstone, marble, granite, and limestone sourced from the Aravalli mountain range have given India strength and global recognition. He highlighted that Bharatpur sandstone, Makrana marble, and Jaisalmer’s yellow stone continue to symbolize Rajasthan’s identity worldwide. The chief guest of the ceremony was Governor Haribhau Bagade.
Devnani noted that iconic structures such as Delhi’s Red Fort, the Parliament House, and numerous historical buildings stand as testimony to the durability and longevity of Rajasthan’s stone. He added that internationally as well, Rajasthan stone has been respectfully used in public buildings and monuments across several countries.
Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Devnani appreciated the renewed emphasis on natural stone in infrastructure development and heritage conservation. He said projects such as Central Vista, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Mahakal Lok, and Ayodhya Dham demonstrate India’s decisive shift toward durable, stone-based construction instead of temporary materials.
Calling upon entrepreneurs associated with the stone industry, Devnani urged them to adopt innovation, advanced technology, and environmental balance. Emphasizing digital cutting, robotic finishing, ultra-thin slabs, and sustainable stone architecture as future necessities, he stated that Rajasthan should aspire not only to be a stone exporter but also to emerge as a global hub of stone innovation.
He remarked that civilizations which place their trust in stone also place their trust in time. “Rajasthan’s stone, though silent, conveys a powerful message—that sustainability is the strongest foundation of development,” he said.
