Speaker Vasudev Devnani Congratulates Rajasthan's Talents on Receiving the Padma Shri Award

Jaipur : Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani has extended his congratulations and best wishes to three distinguished talents from Rajasthan—Gaffaruddin Mewati Jogi, Tagaram Bhil, and Swami Brahmadev Maharaj—upon their conferral with the Padma Shri award by President Droupadi Murmu at the Civil Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Devnani stated that this recognition, bestowed at the national level upon Rajasthan's rich traditions of folk culture, folk music, and social service, is a matter of immense pride for the entire state. He noted that Shri Gaffaruddin Mewati Jogi—who has kept alive the nearly-extinct folk tradition of *Bhapang* playing—and Shri Tagaram Bhil—who has taken Rajasthan's folk melodies to audiences both within the country and abroad through his *Algoja* playing—have given a renewed identity to the state's cultural heritage. Meanwhile, Swami Brahmadev Maharaj has served as an inspiration to society through his remarkable contributions in the fields of social service and human welfare.

Speaker Devnani remarked that such personalities pave the way for positive change in society through their deeds. Honoring these talents is, in essence, an acknowledgment of Rajasthan's inherent talent, culture, and spirit of service—an act that will inspire the new generation to connect with their roots and traditions.
