Large Joint Meeting of Upper Caste and OBC Communities in Udaipur Against “UGC Black Law”

Udaipur: A large joint meeting of Upper Caste and OBC communities was held today at the Vipra Foundation office in Sevashram, Udaipur, to protest against the new law implemented by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The meeting witnessed extensive discussions on the future strategy for a widespread and aggressive movement across the Mewar region.

Prominent representatives from several organizations were present, including Shri Rajput Karni Sena, Vipra Foundation, Vipra Sena, Brahm Shakti Student Union, National Rajput Karni Sena, Kshatriya Karni Sena, Bajrang Sena, Jain Samaj, Lohar Samaj, Kali Kalyan Shakti Peeth, and various other Hindu organizations and community groups. All organizations unanimously welcomed the interim stay imposed by the Supreme Court on the UGC law, calling it a victory for the public.

Speakers at the meeting stated that although the Supreme Court has temporarily stayed the law, the agitation will continue until it is completely repealed. The organizations alleged that the law promotes caste-based discord and division, and is against Indian culture, Sanatan traditions, and social harmony.

Dr. Parmaveer Singh Dulawat, Udaipur Division In-charge of Shri Rajput Karni Sena, said that the law implemented on January 13, 2026, reminds one of the Rowlatt Act of 1919. He claimed that the law would divide the nation into two parts and poison social harmony. He further stated that instead of bringing laws such as the Uniform Civil Code, laws against Love Jihad, Land Jihad, and cow slaughter, the government introduced this law, which has led to widespread discontent in society.

Dr. Dulawat emphasized that the movement will not remain limited to the Upper Caste community alone, but will be carried out across Mewar with the participation of all sections of society. He warned that if the government fails to withdraw the law in time, the agitation would be intensified further.

The meeting also resolved to launch a public awareness campaign across the district in the near future. A phased plan including protests, rallies, and submission of memorandums was finalized. Demonstrating unity, all organizations stated that this struggle is not of any single community, but a fight to protect social unity and the future of the nation. They asserted that the voice rising from the land of Mewar would soon resonate across the entire state and the country.
