Udaipur: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great reformer Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, a concise book based on his life was formally released by Shri Ashok Arya, President of the Shrimad Dayanand Satyarth Prakash Nyas. The booklet has been prepared by world record holder Shri Chandraprakash Chittora.
The release ceremony was held at Navlakha Mahal, the karmabhoomi (place of significant work) of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati. It was at this very site that Maharshi Dayanand stayed for six and a half months upon the invitation of the then ruler of Mewar, Maharana Sajjan Singh Ji, and composed his timeless masterpiece Satyarth Prakash.
On the occasion, Nyas President Shri Ashok Arya stated that Maharshi Dayanand authored more than 30 books during his lifetime, among which Satyarth Prakash remains his most prominent work, written at Navlakha Mahal. He expressed immense pride in releasing the booklet prepared by Shri Chandraprakash Chittora on the Maharshi’s birth anniversary. He also highlighted Maharshi Dayanand’s invaluable contributions to social reform and India’s freedom movement.
Several innovative initiatives and projects have been undertaken at this historic site. A state-of-the-art museum featuring silicone statues of the brave martyrs—spiritual successors of Maharshi Dayanand—who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence, has been constructed here by MDH Chairman Mahashay Rajiv Ji Gulati. The museum has been named “Rashtra Mandir” (Temple of the Nation) and is scheduled to be inaugurated on February 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Among those present at the event were Office Secretary Shri Bhanwarlal Garg, Purohit Shri Navneet Arya, Accountant Shri Divyesh Suthar, Guide Shri Siddham, Smt. Durga, Smt. Rekha, Shri Devilal, Shri Kalu, Smt. Nirma, and several other members of the Nyas.
