Cultural Evening Echoes Message of Water Conservation

Udaipur: A grand cultural evening was organized at Sukhadia Rangmanch under the Vande Ganga Water Conservation Public Campaign 2026, jointly by the District Administration and the Tourism Department on Friday evening. The event aimed to raise awareness about water and environmental conservation through folk and cultural performances.

The program began with vibrant performances rooted in traditional folk culture. Renowned Manganiyar artist Shaukat Khan and his troupe mesmerized the audience with soulful musical renditions that highlighted environmental themes.

Students of Mahatma Gandhi School, Dhanmandi, Dhruvi and Sara, presented a dance performance emphasizing the importance of water conservation. Folk artist Anita Devi from Baran and her group delivered a captivating Chari dance performance, while student Yogita Dangi showcased a Rajasthani folk dance, conveying the message of preserving cultural heritage along with environmental awareness.

Throughout the event, the audience appreciated the performances and reaffirmed their commitment to water conservation. Deputy Director of Tourism Shikha Saxena felicitated all the artists and encouraged their efforts, highlighting the crucial role of cultural programs in spreading awareness about environmental initiatives to the masses.

Officials from the Education Department, including Laxman Vaishnav, along with other government staff and members of the public, were present at the event.

The program was conducted by Ranveer Singh Ranawat.
