Udaipur Postal Division Successfully Organizes Exporters’ Meet

Udaipur: The Udaipur Postal Division, under the aegis of the Business Parcel Centre (BPC), Udaipur, successfully organized an Exporters’ Meet on Friday at Hotel Kaner Bagh, Sukhadia Circle. The event brought together exporters from Udaipur and the Mewar region engaged in handicrafts, marble products, artificial jewellery, and various other export-oriented industries.

The program was chaired by Akshay Bhanudas Gadekar, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Udaipur Division. The Chief Guest was Subhash Chandra Meena, Assistant Postmaster General (Business Development & Mails), Circle Office, Jaipur. The event was also attended by V. S. Jain, Assistant Director from the Regional Office, Ajmer, and Ghevar Chand, Assistant Superintendent.

Representatives from various government departments and industry organizations participated in the meeting, including Shailendra Sharma, Deputy Director, MSME Department; Rajesh Meena, Superintendent, Customs and GST; and Nitesh Kapoor from the Udaipur Handicrafts Association. More than 50 exporters from Udaipur district attended the event.

The proceedings were conducted by Umesh Nimawat, Marketing Executive, Head Post Office, while Ramesh Bhati, Public Relations Inspector, Head Post Office, provided detailed information regarding the services and facilities offered through the Postal Export Centre.

During the program, Senior Superintendent Akshay Bhanudas Gadekar honored the distinguished guests by presenting them with saplings as a symbol of appreciation and environmental responsibility.

Speaking on the occasion, Gadekar stated that the primary objective of the Exporters’ Meet was to create awareness among exporters about the export-related services and facilities provided by the India Post Department and to strengthen coordination between exporters and the postal network.

The event also served as a platform for addressing exporters’ concerns and resolving their issues on the spot. Representatives from GST, Customs, MSME, and other departments provided guidance on procedures, compliance requirements, and available support mechanisms. Discussions focused on improving inter-departmental coordination and ensuring that exporters receive maximum benefits, facilities, and assistance to enhance their global business operations.

The meet was widely appreciated by participants and proved to be an effective initiative in promoting exports and strengthening collaboration between government agencies and the export community.
