Environmental Seminar and Distribution of 101 Saplings Organized; Message of Water Conservation Highlighted

Udaipur: An Environmental Seminar and Sapling Distribution Program was organized jointly by Bharat Vikas Parishad Vivekananda and the BJP Environment Cell to promote environmental awareness and water conservation.

Addressing the gathering as the keynote speaker, former RAS officer Dinesh Kothari described the Earth as a mother and clouds as a father, emphasizing the significance of natural food chains and water resources for sustaining life. He stressed that water conservation is essential to secure the future of coming generations.

Program Convener Ram Varshney informed that Chief Guest and social worker Prem Singh Shaktawat highlighted the important role of environmental organizations in creating awareness and encouraging community participation in environmental protection.

Presiding over the seminar, BJP District President Gajpal Singh Rathore appreciated the various environmental initiatives undertaken by Bharat Vikas Parishad and described them as highly beneficial for society.

During the event, Ashok Sanwala and Mahendra Vyas presented the detailed schedule of the upcoming Environmental Rangoli Competition, which is scheduled to be held on Sunday.

Media Coordinator Dr. Seema Champawat informed that 101 saplings, including mango, jamun, amla, neem, kaner, chandni, and rose plants, were distributed by MLA Phool Singh Meena and cooperative sector expert Pramod Samar to encourage tree plantation and environmental conservation.

On the occasion, Narayan Singh Badoli was felicitated for being elected President of the Johar Smriti Sansthan. In another significant recognition, Mahesh Garhwal was honored with the title of “Jal Yoddha” (Water Warrior) for his remarkable contribution to water conservation through the establishment of 11,000 water harvesting structures.

Guests were welcomed by Dheeraj Prajapat, Coordinator of the Shakti Kendra, and Sushil Ranka. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ramjas Sodani, Secretary of Bharat Vikas Parishad.

The event concluded with a collective pledge to protect the environment, conserve water resources, and promote sustainable living practices for future generations.
