Udaipur District Chess Association Elects New Executive Committee Unanimously

Udaipur: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Udaipur District Chess Association (UDCA), along with the election of its Executive Committee for the 2026–2030 term, was conducted peacefully and in accordance with the association's constitution on Sunday. The entire election process was supervised by Election Officer **Advocate Kuldeep Choubisa**, and all office bearers were elected unopposed.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Association Secretary presented a detailed annual report highlighting the organization's achievements over the past four years. During this period, the Udaipur District Chess Association successfully organized more than **60 district, state, and national-level chess tournaments**, providing competitive opportunities to thousands of players and establishing Udaipur as one of Rajasthan's leading centres for chess activities.

The Secretary also informed members that the association regularly organized district and state selection tournaments across various age groups, FIDE-rated events, school-level competitions, and talent identification programs. These initiatives have enabled several players from the district to excel at both state and national levels.

During the meeting, the **provisional audited financial statements** for the financial years **2024–25 and 2025–26** were presented before the members and taken on record. It was decided that the final audited reports would be placed before the next General Meeting for formal approval.

The Secretary then briefed the house on the current legal status of the election process before handing over all election-related proceedings to Election Officer Advocate Kuldeep Choubisa.

## Election Officer Presents Election Report

Addressing the members, Election Officer Advocate Kuldeep Choubisa stated that he had been appointed as Election Officer through a resolution passed on **May 19, 2026**. In accordance with the resolution, the election schedule was announced on **June 12, 2026**, following which the voters' list was published and objections were invited within the stipulated timeframe.

After examining and resolving all objections received, the final electoral roll was published. The nomination process was then completed, during which **17 valid nominations** were received for **18 Executive Committee positions**. Following scrutiny of nomination papers and the withdrawal period, no candidate withdrew their nomination.

Since there was only one valid candidate for each of the 17 posts, while one Executive Member position remained vacant due to the absence of any nomination, voting was not required. In accordance with the association's constitution and election schedule, all candidates were declared **elected unopposed**.
