Udaipur Team to Showcase the Splendour of Mewar’s Folk Culture at the National Rover Jamboree

Udaipur | Under the auspices of the National Headquarters of Bharat Scouts and Guides, New Delhi, the First National Rover–Ranger Jamboree is being organized from January 9 to 13, 2026 at Dudhli, District Balod, in the state of Chhattisgarh. To participate in this national jamboree, an 18-member contingent from Udaipur district, comprising 16 Rovers and 2 Rover Leaders, will travel to Chhattisgarh.

The Udaipur district contingent includes nine Rovers from Manikyalal Verma Shramjeevi College under the leadership of Rover Leader Dr. Narayan Singh Rao. The team also includes members from the 53rd Rover Uday Open Rover Crew, Bhuvana, and the Headquarters Rover Open Crew, led by Senior Rover Mate Vishal Gupta.

The 18-member team from the district comprises Shubham Menaria, Prafulla Chaubisa, Mukesh Menaria, Prince Jat, Punit Menaria, Bhavesh Udawat, Praveen Hirawat, Ritik Menaria, Yuvraj Menaria, Divyansh, Brijbani, Mangal Singh Yadav, Virendra Singh Chundawat, Nikhil Sahu, Arya Kumar, Shubham Nama, Kuldeep Vaishnav, along with Rover Leaders Dr. Narayan Singh Rao and Vishal Gupta.

District Organizing Commissioner (Scout) Surendra Kumar Pandey informed that for the first time in the history of Bharat Scouts and Guides, a National Rover–Ranger Jamboree is being organized at the national level. The objective of this jamboree is to provide Rovers and Rangers with an opportunity to develop their skills and to demonstrate healthy competition at the national level. Chhattisgarh has been selected as the host state for this historic event.

He further stated that nearly 1,000 Rovers and Rangers from Rajasthan will participate in the national-level jamboree in Chhattisgarh. Around 18,000 Rovers and Rangers from across India and neighboring countries, representing government and private colleges, universities, and schools, will take part in the event.

The Rovers from Udaipur district will enhance the pride of the region by showcasing Mewar’s rich folk culture, traditional cuisine, attire, minerals, global village development concepts, tribal carnival, march past, and various cultural presentations at the national level.
