Udaipur | For the past 42 years, inspired by the sacred memory of Swami Shri Ramdas Ji and the guidance of Sant Shri Ramgyandas Maharaj, senior doctors of the district have been steadfastly committed to providing free medical services to the needy. Continuing this long-standing tradition, a medical team of more than 100 members will depart on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the B.N. College campus for Shri Ram Van Kutir Ashram, located in the Handiyankol forest area of Barabanki district, Uttar Pradesh, to render free medical services.
Medical team in-charge and renowned physician Dr. J. K. Chhaparwal informed that the team undertaking this noble service comprises 40 doctors, 60 nursing staff, 10 vaidyas (Ayurvedic practitioners), and 5 technicians, along with ward boys, attendants, and social workers. The main contingent will travel to the camp site by buses, while some members will depart by train in the evening.
He further stated that doctors from Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bhiwani, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Haryana will also participate in this medical camp. Over the past 42 years, numerous surgeries—including cataract, hernia, hydrocele, piles, and tumors of the uterus and other organs—have been successfully performed under this initiative.
Patients from a radius of nearly 500 kilometers come to Shri Ram Van Kutir Ashram for treatment, including from districts such as Barabanki, Lucknow, Sitapur, Pilibhit, Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Amethi, Rae Bareli in western Uttar Pradesh, as well as from various districts of the neighboring state of Bihar.
