Udaipur: The administration has taken a firm stand against hill cutting and illegal construction in Udaipur district. District Collector **Namit Mehta**, while chairing an important review meeting, clearly stated that any construction involving the cutting of hills or any unauthorized construction carried out without proper approval will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The District Collector directed officials to maintain continuous surveillance in **Badgaon** and other sensitive areas of the district and to immediately stop illegal hill cutting. He emphasized that tampering with the natural landscape is not only harmful to the environment but can also lead to serious problems in the future. Therefore, the administration will take the matter very seriously and ensure strict action.
During the meeting, the Collector reviewed construction activities that had been halted in recent days based on complaints received. He instructed officials to issue notices and carry out sealing actions wherever necessary. He further stated that continuous and stringent action would be taken against any construction carried out in violation of rules and regulations.
The District Collector also instructed concerned officers to ensure effective action through mutual coordination and to maintain regular field-level inspections. The meeting was attended by **UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain**, **Girwa SDM Avula Sai Krishna**, **Badgaon SDM Latika Paliwal**, along with other concerned officials.
