Students Learn Safe Use of the Internet and Social Media

Udaipur : Under the School Health and Wellness Program being implemented in government schools of the district under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, various activities were organized on Tuesday. Sessions were held at different locations where students learned about the safe use of the internet and social media.

DIET Principal Sheela Kahalya informed that under the guidance of RSCERT, Udaipur, the School Health and Wellness Program is being conducted in all government senior secondary and upper primary schools within the DIET Udaipur jurisdiction. As per the weekly calendar, activities based on the third week’s designated theme were organized in schools.

According to District Sub-Coordinator Tribhuvan Choubisa, through the sessions conducted in schools, students were made aware of topics such as mass communication media, the internet as a storehouse of information, real and virtual life, and were educated about the safe and responsible use of the internet and social media.

On this occasion, Health Ambassador Dr. Binnu Shekhawat at Madar, Shehnaz Qazgi at Jaswantgarh Sayra, Prabha Sharma at Badgaon, Varsha Pathak and Neeta Dhabai at Kharpina, and Neha Parik at Falichda Mavli provided information on internet safety.

The Principal further informed that on Tuesday, in various government schools of the district—including MGGGS Lasadia, Rohikheda, Kharsan, Undi Talai, Bhaikda Ramj, Pipli A, Nai, Amarpura Khalsa, Sattawal, Pindoliyan, Modi, Mada, Mazawad, Chhapra (Nandvel), Mall Kalan, Wali, Udakheda, Salera Kalan, Kanuwada Bhatewar, Gupda, Gumpadi Khalatod, Sude Talai, Nawaniyan, and Chansda Bhamti—information was shared through short plays, talks, smart boards, and television. Shakti Diwas was also observed, and Iron Folic Acid (IFA) tablets were distributed.

Meanwhile, District Coordinator Dr. Mridula Tiwari reviewed the implementation of program activities at Karchha Kalan School in Kherwara block and provided necessary guidelines. On the other hand, DIET faculty members, senior lecturer Beena Kunwar Rajput and Girish Choubisa, observed program activities in schools of the Sayra block.
