Outreach Program on Registered Non-Profit Organizations under the Income Tax Act, 2025 Organized by Income Tax Department

Udaipur: An outreach program on **Registered Non-Profit Organizations under the Income Tax Act, 2025** was organized by the **Income Tax Department** at **Mewar University, Udaipur**. The program was attended by over **100 stakeholders**, including trustees, professors, and students from the management and law faculties of various academic institutions.

The session was conducted under the guidance of **Manoj Kumar Mahar, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemptions), Jaipur**, and **Manoj Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemptions), Jaipur**. The program was addressed by **Hempal Chaudhary, Income Tax Officer (Exemptions), Udaipur**, and **Ajay Kumar, Income Tax Inspector**, who provided detailed insights on procedural aspects.

The program featured an extensive presentation on **exemptions available to non-profit organizations under the Income Tax Act, 2025**, including changes in the sections and sub-sections under the new Act, which is set to come into effect from **1st April 2026**. Following the presentation, a detailed discussion was held with stakeholders and students, during which participants’ questions were answered, and clarifications were provided regarding the provisions and relevant guidelines of the Income Tax Act.

The college administration expressed **special thanks** to the Income Tax Department for organizing such a program and **commended the department’s efforts** to simplify its processes and make them accessible to the general public.
