Floral Tributes Offered to Mahatma Gandhi , Martyrs’ Day Observed at the Collectorate

Udaipur. On the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was observed with reverence and respect on Friday at the Collectorate Garden. During the program, Inspector General of Police Mr. Gaurav Shrivastava, Additional District Collector (Administration) Deependra Singh Rathore, Additional District Collector (City) Mr. Jitendra Ojha, along with officers and staff of the district administration, paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi by offering flowers to his portrait.

During the program, Ramdhun and Mahatma Gandhi’s favorite bhajans were rendered with deep devotion. At exactly 11:00 a.m., all present officers and employees observed a two-minute silence to pay homage to the Father of the Nation.

On this occasion, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Ashok Aditya read out the District Collector’s message on the occasion of Sparsh Leprosy Day, emphasizing the need to eliminate social discrimination against leprosy patients. He also administered a pledge to all present, affirming values of humanity, compassion, and equality.

After the program, the Inspector General of Police and the Additional District Collector flagged off the Sparsh Leprosy Eradication Awareness Rath, which will spread public awareness across the district. A large number of officers, employees, and citizens were present at the event, and all pledged to adopt Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of truth, non-violence, and service in their lives.
