Udaipur: The Gram Utthan Camps, organized across the state under the sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma as part of the campaign “Empowered Farmers – Prosperous Rajasthan”, have emerged as a boon for farmers. On the final day of the campaign in Udaipur district, camps were organized on Monday across eight Girdawar circles, witnessing participation from thousands of farmers and villagers who availed benefits of various government schemes.
District Collector Namit Mehta informed that camps were held in multiple locations, including Zinc Smelter (Kurabad Tehsil), Fatehnagar–Sanwad (Mavli), Menar (Vallabhnagar), Padrana and Saira (Saira Tehsil), Madri (Phalasia Tehsil), Rishabhdev, and Badgaon. A large number of rural residents were benefited through various state government welfare schemes.
Substantial Subsidies Provided on Agricultural Equipment
At the camp organized in the Badgaon Panchayat Samiti premises, several farmers received on-the-spot financial approvals under the Agricultural Equipment Subsidy Scheme and the Govardhan Organic Fertilizer Scheme.
Sub-Divisional Officer Latika Paliwal stated that Bhairulal, son of Chena Dangi, resident of Lakhawali, was sanctioned a subsidy of ₹1.25 lakh for a multi-crop thresher. Similarly, Premibai Kishanlal Dangi received ₹50,000 for a fodder cutter, Sohan, son of Naru Dangi received ₹15,000, Ramlal, son of Rodaji Dangi received ₹15,000 for a chaff cutter, Ekling, son of Nanda Dangi received ₹14,000, Ukar, son of Dheera Dangi received ₹12,500, Motibai Prakash Dangi received ₹10,900, and Hiralal Nagji Dangi was granted ₹17,500 for a cultivator.
To promote organic farming under the Govardhan Organic Fertilizer Scheme, Ukar son of Dheera, Mangilal son of Kuka, Udaylal son of Gopa, Sohanlal son of Nathulal, and Daulatsingh son of Hemsingh each received a subsidy of ₹10,000.
Farmers expressed happiness over receiving immediate benefits and appreciated the state government and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma for organizing these camps.
Major Relief Under Farm Pond and Agricultural Equipment Schemes
A Gram Utthan Camp was also organized at the Madri Girdawar Circle of Phalasia Tehsil under Jhadol subdivision, with participation from officials and staff of 16 departments. Under the supervision of Camp In-Charge Tehsildar Abhishek Danga and Additional Development Officer Laxman Singh Garasia, farmers were benefited in the presence of officials and public representatives.
During the camp, Jagdish, son of Shankar Lal Kasota, received ₹73,500 under the Farm Pond Scheme, Krishnagopal was granted ₹66,000 under the Agricultural Equipment Scheme, and Kalpesh, son of Badri Lal Gurjar, received ₹48,000 for barbed wire fencing.
Additionally, approval orders were distributed under the Soil Health Card Scheme, Govardhan Organic Fertilizer Scheme for compost unit construction, and the Bullock-Based Farming Incentive Scheme, providing further financial support to farmers.
