Udaipur: A quiz competition was organized on Monday for students at the Government Animal Husbandry Training Institute as part of Animal Welfare and Prevention of Cruelty Month.
Joint Director Dr. Surendra Changani stated that the quiz aimed to raise awareness about animal cruelty and promote the message of animal welfare among students. First- and second-year students actively participated in the competition with enthusiasm.
Dr. Padma Meel informed that students were educated about the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. Examples of animal cruelty discussed included tying animals with short ropes restricting movement, overloading beyond their capacity, beating animals, and inflicting harm for entertainment purposes.
