Cyber Attacks Can Be Prevented Through Awareness and Vigilance – ADJ Kuldeep Sharma

Udaipur: In view of the growing threat of cyber attacks, awareness and vigilance are the strongest shields for protection.
These views were expressed by Kuldeep Sharma, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority and Additional District Judge (ADJ), during an awareness program organized on the occasion of National Women’s Day at the MDS Girls’ Hostel of Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) on Saturday.
Addressing the students, ADJ Sharma shared essential tips on cyber safety. He emphasized that the use of the Raj Citizen App is crucial for protection against cyber stalking, online fraud, and digital crimes against women. He demonstrated the app live and explained its key features, including complaint registration, access to helpline numbers, and awareness forms.
Highlighting provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to crimes against women, he also stressed the important role of institutions such as the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA) in providing legal support and assistance.
Approximately 70 students participated in the program, including those from Law, Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, and Pharmacy streams. Santosh Ji provided technical support during the session.
An engaging discussion followed as students raised several questions. ADJ Sharma cautioned them against opening suspicious links, advised using strong passwords, and urged immediate reporting of any cyber fraud. The session proved highly informative and beneficial for the students.
