The Unparalleled Courage of CRPF Jawans in the Battle of Sardar Post – Dr. Shrinivas Mahawar

Udaipur: The Janmat Manch paid tribute to all the CRPF jawans at Sardar Post in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, who attained martyrdom while fighting with unparalleled courage and valour in defense of their motherland.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Shrinivas Mahawar, Founder and President of Janmat Manch, stated:
"It was on this very day in 1965 that merely two companies of the CRPF demonstrated extraordinary valour and unparalleled courage by defeating a large Pakistani military force at Sardar Post in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat." Dr. Mahawar explained that the incident began as a minor skirmish in the Rann of Kutch—initiated by Pakistan—through which they attempted to forcibly seize Jammu and Kashmir from India; however, in no time, the conflict escalated into a full-scale war.
Shirish Nath Mathur, Secretary of Janmat Manch, noted that following the CRPF jawans' successful thwarting of Pakistan's 'Operation Desert Hawk' in the Rann of Kutch (Gujarat), a settlement was reached through the mediation of the United Kingdom (UK). To bring an end to this conflict, an official ceasefire was declared and an agreement was signed between the two nations on July 1, 1965.
On this occasion, Assistant Professors Hemant Kumar Damor and Dharmendra Kumar Verma also paid homage to those brave CRPF jawans who sacrificed their lives for their motherland.
Assistant Professor Azad Meena highlighted that, during this fierce battle, our valiant CRPF jawans eliminated 34 Pakistani soldiers and captured four alive. However, it is a matter of deep sorrow that six of our own CRPF jawans also attained martyrdom in this conflict. We offer our heartfelt tributes to them.
This battle can be viewed as a strategic victory for India and a complete failure of Pakistan's objectives.
