District Collector Inspects Maharana Pratap Khelgaon

Udaipur: District Collector Gaurav Agrawal, who is also the ex-officio Chairman of Maharana Pratap Khelgaon Society, visited the Khelgaon on Thursday. During the visit, he inspected various sports grounds and the multipurpose indoor stadium within the परिसर and issued necessary directions. He instructed officials to develop a dedicated portal for the Khelgaon Society and ensure that all activities are managed through it.

The District Collector arrived at Khelgaon at 10 AM, where he was welcomed by Member Secretary and District Sports Officer Dr. Mahesh Paliwal with a traditional Rajasthani turban and stole. Dr. Paliwal also briefed him about the recently conducted Panch Gaurav Swimming Training Camp under the “One District One Sport” initiative at the swimming pool, along with ongoing repair and development works.

During the visit, the District Collector personally inspected all sports facilities and activities being conducted at Khelgaon, including squash, skating, cricket, tennis, basketball, gym, yoga, hockey, lacrosse, athletics track, and volleyball. He also interacted with coaches to gather detailed information about each sport.

While reviewing the under-construction multipurpose stadium, he directed the executing agency RSRDC’s Project Director to expedite the work and ensure timely completion. He also assessed the progress of the under-construction Salim Durrani Hostel and instructed officials to complete it within the stipulated timeframe.

The District Collector appreciated the cricket ground at Khelgaon and instructed officials of the Urban Development Authority (UDA) to complete the construction of the pavilion at the earliest.
