Udaipur: The eighth edition of the Poshan Pakhwada (Nutrition Fortnight), organized under the Women and Child Development Department of the Rajasthan Government, commenced on Thursday and will continue until April 23, 2026. In Udaipur, the campaign was inaugurated by District Collector Gaurav Agrawal through the unveiling of a theme-based poster.
Deputy Director of the Women and Child Development Department Nandlal Meghwal informed that this year’s theme focuses on maximum brain development during the first six years of life. Under this campaign, activities will be conducted based on five key focus areas निर्धारित by the Government of India. These include maternal and child nutrition, early stimulation for brain development in children aged 0–3 years, play-based learning for children aged 3–6 years, the role of parents and communities in reducing screen time, and community support for strengthening Anganwadi centers.
During the inaugural program, District Collector Gaurav Agrawal, Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, Deputy Director Nandlal Meghwal, and District Coordinator of the National Nutrition Mission Kapil Gautam jointly unveiled the poster and formally launched the campaign.
Throughout the fortnight, various awareness activities will be conducted in coordination with multiple departments. All activities will be recorded in real time on the Jan Andolan Dashboard to assess the reach and impact of the campaign.
