Udaipur: A rehearsal session for the International Yoga Day 2026 Yoga Protocol was organized on Wednesday at Samagram Eco Pyramid, located in Shobhagpura. Conducted under the aegis of the district administration and the AYUSH Department, the event witnessed participation from more than 70 yoga enthusiasts who practiced yoga postures, pranayama, and meditation.
The session was held from 6:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., during which participants experienced yoga in harmony with the five elements of nature. A special water yoga session was also organized in the campus swimming pool, where participants practiced various asanas and shavasana in water.
Assistant Director of the Ayurveda Department, Dr. Bhanu Kumar Jain, informed that the 50-day countdown program for International Yoga Day has begun, and this event marked 32 days remaining until June 21. He added that yoga protocol rehearsals would continue to be organized at various historical and tourist locations across the district until International Yoga Day.
Yoga Coordinator and Assistant Nodal Officer Dr. Shobhalal Audichya said that the campaign aims to connect every individual with yoga to build a healthier society. Yoga and Naturopathy Officer Dr. Vikram Kharadi stated that this year’s Yoga Day theme is “Yoga for Health, Knowledge, and World Peace.”
Under the guidance of Dr. Sanjay Maheshwari, yogi Ashok Jain and Yoga Acharya Puran Singh Rathore conducted sessions on Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Padahastasana, Ardha Chakrasana, Trikonasana, Setubandhasana, Ustrasana, Shavasana, Kapalbhati, Anulom-Vilom, Sheetali, and Bhramari Pranayama.
Founder of Samagram Institute and retired Principal Chief Conservator of Forests of the Indian Forest Service, Dr. N.C. Jain, led a meditation session in a spiritual and musical atmosphere. He explained that the Samagram Eco Pyramid was developed with the objective of Panch Tatva (five elements) balance therapy.
The program saw participation from various organizations including Yoga and Naturopathy College, Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Parivar Kreeda Bharati, Pacific University, International Human Rights Protection Organization, Swasthya Setu, Vipra Foundation, Sukrupa Foundation, Pranav Yoga and Ayurveda Centre, Oswal Sabha, Oswal Yuvak Parishad, Arogya Vihar Dham, and Manjhi Ka Mandir Seva Sansthan.
Several yoga practitioners and dignitaries including Naresh Paliwal, G.L. Chittara, Manohar Singh Rathore, H.P. Jindal, Madanlal Singhvi, Vimla Singh, Mahendra Sharma, Dalpat Batra, Sarla Joshi, Yuvansh Singh, and Maina Jain were also present on the occasion.
