Udaipur: A Bhoomi Pujan (groundbreaking) ceremony for the proposed construction of a hall at the Government Senior Upadhyay Sanskrit School campus was organized on Wednesday at 10 a.m. under the aegis of Rotary Club Yuva Udaipur. The ceremony was conducted with traditional Vedic chanting.
PDG Rotarian Nirmal Kunawat attended the event as the chief guest. Deputy Inspector of the Divisional Sanskrit Education Officer’s Office, Udaipur Division, Ram Mohan Sharma, and school principal Khemchand Jain were present as distinguished guests. The program commenced with the welcome of guests by Club President Shekhar Tank.
Thereafter, Rishabh Jain shared details of the developmental works being carried out in the school and highlighted the need for the new hall. Deputy Inspector Ram Mohan Sharma and Principal Khemchand Jain appreciated the initiative in their addresses.
Chief Guest Nirmal Kunawat congratulated the club and the school family for undertaking this noble cause. He said that when any work is initiated with positive intentions, nature itself supports its successful completion. He also encouraged the club to continue serving society through such welfare-oriented projects in the future.
Following his address, the Bhoomi Pujan was formally performed by him with Vedic rituals and chanting. The proposed hall is expected to prove highly beneficial for the school’s academic and cultural activities.
The event was attended by club members Anshita Arora, Raksha Bhandari, Saurabh Jain, Shashwat Pancholi, Divyanshi Bhatt, Sangeeta Sharma, Current Assistant Governor Yash Kunawat, school staff members Neelam Goswami, Hari Mainali, Reena Jain, Hemlata Chechani, Usha Sharma, SDMC member Narayan Kumawat, and several other dignitaries.
The program was conducted by Project Chair Piyush Dashora, who also coordinated between the school and the club. Club Secretary Dakshita delivered the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the event.
