Mahesh Navami Festival Begins with Badminton Tournament; Players Display Great Enthusiasm

Udaipur: The Mahesh Navami Festival, organized under the aegis of Jai Mahesh Pragati Seva Sansthan, commenced with a badminton tournament held at Pulse Academy on Jhamar Kotra Road. The competition began at 7:00 AM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from players and community members.

The event was inaugurated with the garlanding of Lord Mahesh's portrait and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The function was presided over by noted social worker Rajesh Mundra. The tournament was formally inaugurated by Devendra Maliwal, President of Mahesh Seva Samiti, who marked the occasion by playing the first shuttle on the badminton court.

Distinguished guests present at the event included retired Education Officer Shyamlal Lahoti, retired Superintendent Dr. B.L. Asawa from the Kamla Nehru Regional Vocational Training and Rehabilitation Centre, Ajmer (Rajasthan), and senior social worker Bhagwandas Mohta.

Welcoming the guests and participants, Ramesh Chandra Porwal, President of Jai Mahesh Pragati Seva Sansthan, encouraged all players to participate in the competition with true sportsmanship and enthusiasm. The program was conducted by Gopal Lal, Secretary of the organization.

Shyam Mohta, President of the Youth Organization, announced the tournament results and informed participants that the winners would be honored and presented with awards during the cultural evening scheduled to be held on June 20 at Atal Auditorium.

The successful organization of the tournament was made possible through the dedicated efforts and support of Sanjay Maliwal, Divyanshu Maliwal, Lakshit Mundra, and Chinmay Lahoti, who played key roles in coordinating the event.

The opening day of the Mahesh Navami Festival set a vibrant and energetic tone for the celebrations, bringing together sports enthusiasts and community members in a spirit of unity, healthy competition, and cultural pride.
