Micro-Level Planning Key to Ensuring Social Security Benefits Reach Every Eligible Family: District Collector

Udaipur: District Collector Gaurav Agrawal emphasized the need for micro-level planning, inter-departmental convergence, and continuous monitoring to ensure that every eligible and vulnerable family receives the benefits of social security schemes and government services. He was addressing the inaugural session of the District Social Protection Saturation Planning Workshop, jointly organized by the District Administration and the Social Protection Coalition (SETU) at the Zila Parishad Auditorium.

The Collector said social security extends beyond implementing welfare schemes and aims to deliver timely and transparent assistance to the most vulnerable citizens. He urged all departments to prepare village-level action plans and work in close coordination to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out.

The workshop focused on strengthening access to social protection schemes through better coordination among departments. Technical sessions covered priority sectors, vulnerable groups, monitoring mechanisms, community support systems, and convergence strategies to develop a comprehensive district-level action plan.

Senior officials from departments including Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Social Justice, Labour, Women and Child Development, Health, Agriculture, and Tribal Area Development participated in the discussions.

A key outcome of the workshop was the decision to constitute a District-Level Task Force, chaired by the District Collector, to oversee implementation, review progress, and ensure effective coordination, supporting the vision of inclusive governance and universal social security coverage.
