Udaipur Rural District Congress Committee Holds Monthly Meeting

Udaipur: The Udaipur Rural District Congress Committee held its monthly meeting at the party office in Surajpole to review organizational activities and chalk out a strategy for the upcoming Urban Local Bodies and Panchayat elections. Addressing party leaders and workers, District Congress President Raghuveer Singh Meena said the local body elections would lay the foundation for the next Rajasthan Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, urging Congress workers to strengthen the party at the grassroots.

Meena said the performance of Mandal and Block Congress Committees is regularly monitored by the District Congress Committee and reported to the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). He encouraged office-bearers to remain active, stating that dedicated workers would be given opportunities in the upcoming elections and within the organization.

Criticizing the Rajasthan government, Meena alleged that development work had stalled across the state, claiming delays in conducting local body elections deprived Rajasthan of significant central grants for village and ward development. He also remarked that judicial intervention was required to ensure the elections were held.

PCC General Secretary Lal Singh Jhala and former Udaipur Lok Sabha candidate Tarachand Meena called on party workers and aspiring candidates to increase public outreach and prepare for the elections. The committee also decided to organize events on August 9 to mark World Tribal Day and August Kranti Diwas and felicitated newly appointed Land Development Bank Chairman Mathuresh Nagda.
