Senior Citizens Spread Environmental Awareness, Pledge to Replace Plastic with Cloth Bags

Udaipur: Rahda Foundation organised a special programme at Tara Seva Sansthan to honour senior citizens and promote environmental conservation. More than 100 elderly participants were felicitated in recognition of their invaluable contributions, life experiences, and role in shaping society.

The highlight of the event was a creative workshop where senior citizens decorated reusable cloth bags through block printing and artwork, conveying a strong message against single-use plastic. Participants collectively pledged to adopt cloth bags and encouraged the wider community to embrace sustainable practices.

Rahda Foundation Founder Archana Singh Charan said senior citizens are a source of wisdom and inspiration, while Guru Purnima is an occasion to honour everyone who guides society through their values and actions. She added that the initiative aimed to foster environmental awareness, social responsibility, and respect for nature among all generations.

The programme concluded with active participation from volunteers and foundation members, reaffirming Rahda Foundation’s commitment to environmental protection, community service, and promoting a more sustainable and compassionate society.
