Udaipur: The two-day All India Convention of the Shri Samagra Vishanagar Vanik Samaj concluded on Sunday at Orbit Resort, Udaipur, with the participation of around 535 delegates representing eight states. During the convention, a new national executive committee was elected, which announced its commitment to construct another Nagar Bhavan in the temple town of Nathdwara.
On the second day, delegates discussed various measures to strengthen the community and emphasized expanding the organization's activities in cities with a significant Vishanagar Vanik population. The day began with a musical Housie session, where singer Bhagyashree entertained participants with popular songs, while Kavita Parikh conducted the event.
The convention also featured a grand cultural evening showcasing Krishna-themed performances, Kalbelia folk dance, and Kathak, which were well received by delegates from across the country. The programme was hosted by Sejal Parikh and Rupesh Parikh.
In the concluding session, chief guest Narayanbhai Doshi of Satara administered the oath of office to the newly elected national executive. Pramod Nagar of Indore was elected President, while Jayanti Bhai Parikh of Udaipur became Vice President. Addressing the gathering, President Pramod Nagar reaffirmed the organization's resolve to build a new Nagar Bhavan in Nathdwara with the support of the community.
