Martyrs’ Day Observed in Memory of Mahatma Gandhi at Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology

Udaipur. Martyrs’ Day was observed with reverence and respect at the College of Community and Applied Sciences, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur. This day is commemorated as the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and is observed in his memory as well as in honor of all the martyrs of the country.

On this occasion, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pratap Singh Dhakad, Dean Dr. Dhriti Solanki, faculty members, and students paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by observing a two-minute silence. The observance was also carried out across various units of MPUAT, including the University Administrative Development Block, the College of Dairy and Food Technology, the Department of Agricultural Economics, the Department of Soil Science, and the offices of Rajasthan College of Agriculture, with the participation of all teaching and non-teaching staff as well as students.

During the silence, participants reflected on the ideals and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. The purpose of observing Martyrs’ Day is to remember the sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters and to inspire the younger generation to follow the path of patriotism, truth, and non-violence. All present collectively paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and pledged to adopt his ideals in their lives.
