Udaipur: Rajasthan College of Agriculture, under Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), celebrated Guru Purnima with great enthusiasm. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pratap Singh attended as the Chief Guest, while Mohini Mohan Mishra, National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, and Dr. S.K. Sharma, Assistant Director General (Human Resource Development), were the Guests of Honour.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, the National Anthem, and the university anthem. Dean Dr. Lokesh Kumar Gupta welcomed the dignitaries and participants.
Addressing the gathering, Mohini Mohan Mishra spoke about the challenges facing Indian agriculture, emphasizing scientific farming, organized farmers, natural resource conservation, and the vision of a self-reliant India. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pratap Singh highlighted the spiritual and cultural significance of Guru Purnima, stating that teachers guide individuals with knowledge, values, and direction, and urged students to always respect and remain grateful to their mentors.
