Sri Ganganagar: Under the guidance of **Hon’ble Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma**, the **Gram Uthan (Village Upliftment) Camps** were inaugurated in the district on **23 January 2026**, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of **Basant Panchami**.
These camps aim to **benefit farmers, livestock owners, and rural communities** by providing information and assistance regarding departmental schemes across **agriculture, horticulture, agricultural marketing, animal husbandry, dairy, fisheries, cooperatives, water resources, energy, industry, disaster management, rural development, and Panchayati Raj**.
**Joint Director of Agriculture, Mr. Surjeet Kumar**, stated that the camps have been ongoing since 23 January. From **23 to 25 January 2026**, camps were organized across **31 Girdawar circles** in the district. During these camps, participants received guidance on **56 different activities** across the departments, and interested applicants were assisted in preparing their applications.
The camps were attended by **local representatives, departmental officers, and staff**. Some key highlights include:
* **589 farmers** received updates on their applications under the Agriculture Department’s schemes.
* **1,384 farmers** received updates regarding Diggi applications.
* **182 farmers** received information on pipeline schemes.
* **4,775 farmers** were informed about crop insurance schemes.
* **75 farmers** were updated on incentive payments under the “Bullock-based Farming” scheme.
* **5,534 farmers** received information on Minimum Support Price (MSP) schemes.
* **5,565 farmers** were informed about various agricultural schemes.
* **9,952 farmers** underwent verification for mini-kit distribution, and **4,359 farmers** for seed distribution.
* **2,742 Soil Health Cards** were distributed during the camps.
Other departmental activities included:
* **Horticulture Department:** Awareness about sprinklers, drip irrigation, plastic mulch, and other schemes.
* **Agricultural Marketing Department:** Details of the **Chief Minister Krishak Sathi Assistance Scheme**.
* **Cooperative Department:** Guidance on **Kisan Credit Cards, 5% interest subsidy for agricultural and non-agricultural loans**, and applications for **new custom hiring centers**.
* **Animal Husbandry Department:** **12,561 animals received primary treatment and deworming medicines**. Fever vaccination, artificial insemination in **44 animals**, and **568 fertility kits** were distributed. Information about the **Gaushala Development Scheme** was also provided.
* **Fisheries Department:** Promotion of the **Prime Minister Matsya Sampada Scheme**.
* **Energy Department:** Registration under the **PM Surya Ghar Scheme** and awareness programs.
* **Revenue Department:** **39 farmer registry registrations** completed. Under PM Surya Ghar, **826 registrations** were completed, **8,162 farmers** informed about VB-Girami, **866 ownership cards** distributed, and **77 cases** of canal and drainage repair needs identified. **22 applications** were prepared under the Youth Self-Employment Scheme.
Mr. Surjeet Kumar further stated that **additional camps** will be conducted in the district at **Girdawar circles on 31 January, 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 February 2026**, continuing the outreach to benefit rural communities.
These camps are **bringing the vision of public welfare to reality**, ensuring that villagers gain direct access to government schemes and services across multiple sectors.
