Sri Ganganagar, February 12, 2026: Today, under the leadership of Sethi Valmiki (President) and Bunty Valmiki (Coordinator) of the All India Sanitation Workers Congress, union officials submitted a memorandum to Municipal Council Administrator Subhash Kumar.
The memorandum stated that temporary sanitation workers employed by the municipal council have not received their January wages, and tractor-trolley workers’ wages for the past five months remain unpaid, causing growing discontent among the employees.
Sethi Valmiki and Bunty Valmiki warned that if the pending wages are not cleared within two days, the sanitation union will initiate a strike starting Monday, involving both tractor-trolley and temporary sanitation workers. They emphasized that the municipal council administration would bear full responsibility for the consequences of the strike.
The memorandum submission was attended by prominent union members, including District President Soni Valmiki, General Secretary Sameer Sarbata, Executive President Sunil Ghusar, District Valmiki Sabha General Secretary Nivas Piwal, Special Vice President Deepak Lohat, Legal Advisor Ajay Bohat, Vice President Arun Bhatia, Surendra Dulgach, Raju Sarsar, and others.
