Sri Ganganaga: As part of the “Drug-Free Sri Ganganagar” campaign being conducted under the leadership of District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav and Superintendent of Police Shri Harishankar, a drug de-addiction awareness workshop was organized at Aroorvansh Public School, Sri Ganganagar.
Shri Vikram Jyani from the Social Justice and Empowerment Department stated that drug addiction is not just a habit, but the biggest conspiracy against one’s future that destroys dreams. He explained that the energy and aspirations of youth are gradually weakened by substance abuse.
During the program, students were informed in detail about the harmful effects of drugs, including mental, physical, and social consequences. They were also made aware of the Manas Helpline 1933.
The students took a pledge to spread awareness against drug abuse. They committed to staying away from drugs themselves and encouraging their friends and society to do the same. They collectively vowed to build a drug-free and healthy society.
Police Constable Shri Praveen Kumar also addressed the students and raised awareness about cyber safety and traffic rules.
