Legal Awareness Camp on Cyber Issues Organized

Sri Ganganagar: Under the directions of the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority and as part of the “Transformative Tuesday” initiative titled *Empowering Rajasthan’s Youth: A Legal Literacy Initiative 2026*, a cyber awareness camp was organized on Tuesday at Aakash Institute by Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority Ravi Prakash Suthar, who is also an Additional District and Sessions Judge.

During the camp, ADJ Ravi Prakash Suthar addressed the students and explained that the use of mobile phones, the internet, and social media has increased significantly in today’s era. Harassing, insulting, threatening, or mentally harming someone through mobile phones, the internet, social media, or any online platform falls under the category of cyber abuse. Students were also made aware of the positive use of social media.

He stated that many times people unknowingly share their personal information online, which increases the risk of data theft, identity theft, and fraud.

During the session, the ADJ advised children to act wisely and fearlessly in cases of cyber abuse. They should avoid arguments and immediately take screenshots as evidence. In such situations, children should promptly inform their parents, teachers, or any trusted elder. If the matter is serious, a complaint should be lodged with the cyber police or the concerned department. Students were also informed about the cybercrime helpline number 1930.

The students of the institute were also given detailed information regarding free legal aid, victim compensation, and various schemes operated by National Legal Services Authority.

During the camp, Branch Manager Ravish Jain, Yashu, Chief LADC Rohtash Yadav, and Defense Counsel Aman Chalan were also present.
