Sri Ganganagar Hotel Association Condemns Assault on Minor, Demands Strict Action Against Culprits

Sri Ganganagar: The Sri Ganganagar Hotel Association (Regd.) has strongly condemned the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old minor girl in the city and demanded swift, impartial, and stringent legal action against those responsible.

On Tuesday, a delegation of the association met Superintendent of Police Harishankar Sharma and submitted a memorandum expressing deep concern over the incident. The association unequivocally condemned the crime and urged the police to ensure that all those involved are brought to justice at the earliest.

In its written representation, the association clarified that it does not support, in any manner, any hotel or individual involved in illegal or immoral activities. It further stated that the hotels reportedly linked to the incident are not registered members of the Sri Ganganagar Hotel Association and have no affiliation with the organization. The association stressed that the actions of non-member establishments should not tarnish the reputation of the city's law-abiding hotel industry.

During the meeting, Superintendent of Police Harishankar Sharma requested the association to provide a list of all hotels officially registered with the organization.

The association emphasized that the majority of hotel operators in Sri Ganganagar conduct their businesses in compliance with the law and are fully aware of their social responsibilities. It called for the strictest legal action against any hotel owners or individuals found guilty, stating that such measures are essential to prevent similar incidents in the future and to maintain public confidence in the rule of law.

SP Harishankar Sharma assured the delegation that maintaining law and order remains the police department's highest priority. He said that the concerns raised by the hotel industry would be addressed with seriousness and sensitivity, and that a fair, impartial, and effective investigation would be conducted to ensure appropriate legal action against the accused.

The representatives of the association also assured the police administration of their continued cooperation in maintaining social harmony and assisting in crime prevention whenever required.

The delegation included the association's Legal Advisor Advocate Rajeev Kaushik, Vice President Mangat Gera, Treasurer Lucky Khurana, Patron Committee members Yogesh Makkar, Sudesh Pahuja, Pradeep Saharan, Pappu Bansal, Amit Azad, and other members of the association.
