Sri Ganganagar: The district administration is working with utmost seriousness to ensure the safety of women and girls and to enforce compliance of rules in hotels, guest houses, and other accommodation establishments in the district. In this regard, District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav held a meeting on Wednesday with office-bearers of the Sri Ganganagar Hotel Association and made it clear that any form of illegal activity in the district will not be tolerated. He stated that joint inspection drives by the administration and police will be conducted regularly.
The District Collector emphasized that all hotels, guest houses, and similar establishments must operate strictly in accordance with prescribed rules and regulations. He warned that if any establishment is found violating norms or involved in illegal activities, strict action, including sealing of the premises, will be taken as per law. He reiterated that maintaining law and order and ensuring a safe environment for women and girls remains the administration’s highest priority.
He further directed hotel operators to maintain proper records of all guests as per legal requirements, verify identity documents, and immediately inform police and administration about any suspicious activity. He added that hotel operators are not only responsible for their business operations but also play a crucial role in maintaining social security and law and order.
It was also clarified in the meeting that joint inspection and monitoring of hotels, guest houses, and other establishments by the police and district administration will continue regularly. Any irregularity or illegal activity found during inspections will be dealt with strictly without any leniency.
Representatives of the Hotel Association welcomed the administration’s initiative and assured full cooperation in maintaining women’s safety and law and order. They pledged to encourage all affiliated hotel operators to comply with regulations and promptly report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Subhash Kumar, hotel association representatives, and other officials.
