Yoga and Vipassana Session Organised at Government College

Sri Ganganagar: Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government College organised a special Yoga and Vipassana meditation session on Wednesday to promote students’ mental well-being and inner peace. The programme was jointly conducted by the college’s NSS Unit and MoU & CSR Committee under an MoU between the Commissionerate of College Education, Rajasthan, and the Vipassana Centre, Jaipur.

Resource persons Saurabh Devanani and Rajendra Sangwan from the Vipassana Centre, Sri Ganganagar, introduced students to the principles of Vipassana meditation and explained the importance of yoga and mindfulness in reducing stress and improving self-awareness. They noted that the organisation conducts free residential meditation courses to encourage ethical, peaceful, and balanced living.

Students participated in two guided meditation and yoga practice sessions, including silent meditation exercises aimed at enhancing concentration and emotional well-being. The programme was attended by faculty members, including Dr. O.P. Tiwari, Dr. Naveen Tiwari, Dr. Patel Ram Suthar, Dr. Rajendra, and Dr. Bhavana Grover, along with a large number of students. Dr. Patel Ram Suthar delivered the vote of thanks.
