RPF Defeats UP Police by 3 Wickets Under DIG’s Captaincy

New Delhi: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) cricket team delivered an impressive performance at the Second All-India Police Cricket Tournament (North Zone) held in Madhuban, Karnal, Haryana.
In an exciting match, RPF defeated Uttar Pradesh Police by 3 wickets, strengthening their position in the tournament. Prior to this, the team had won 3 out of 4 league matches, securing their progression to the semifinals (qualifiers).
Winning the toss, RPF opted to bowl first against UP Police. Batting first, UP Police posted a strong total of 197 runs in 20 overs, setting a challenging target. Rising to the occasion, RPF successfully chased the total, scoring 197 runs in 19.5 overs to secure a thrilling victory.
RPF captain DIG Shashi Kumar praised both teams for their excellent performance and sportsmanship. A.V. Tomar of RPF was awarded Man of the Match for his outstanding contribution.
The North Zone All-India Police Cricket Tournament is being successfully organized by Haryana Police in Madhuban, Karnal. Both RPF and Delhi Police have now qualified for the quarterfinals, which will be held in Delhi.
