Experts to speak on cancer, epilepsy and advances in robotic surgery

UDAIPUR — KD Hospital, in association with Business Circle International (BCI) and Finbrella, will organize a Health Awareness Program on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hotel Raghu Mahal, Udaipur, to educate the public about serious diseases, early diagnosis and modern treatment options.

The free awareness session will feature leading specialists discussing cancer, neurological disorders and the importance of timely screening and preventive healthcare.

BCI Founder and Chairman Mukesh Madhavani said health awareness has become one of the most important needs of society and that BCI has consistently organized community-oriented initiatives. He said the program aims to provide scientifically accurate information on cancer and neurological disorders and encouraged BCI members and residents to attend.

BCI Education Secretary Poonam Rathore said health awareness is an essential part of education. She said participants will have an opportunity to interact directly with medical experts and get answers to their health-related questions. She encouraged women and young people to participate to better understand the early detection and prevention of serious diseases.

Devendra Singh Kareer, Founder of Finbrella and Chief Adviser of BCI Alpha, said the organization joined the initiative as part of its social responsibility. He emphasized that timely health information and regular medical checkups can help detect and manage many serious illnesses at an early stage. He described the event as a meaningful step toward building a healthier society.

Program Convener and BCI Alpha member Sharad Chandra Prakash said awareness remains the most effective form of prevention and stressed the importance of organizing such programs regularly to reach every section of society.

Jigyasu Bhandari, Deputy Manager at KD Hospital, said senior super-specialty consultants from the hospital will deliver expert sessions on advanced medical technologies, robotic surgery and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. He invited citizens to attend the free public awareness program.

The medical sessions will include:

  • Dr. Kush Shah, Consultant, Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery, on Breast Cancer Awareness.
  • Dr. Nishtha Tripathi, Consultant, Gynecologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery, on Cervical Cancer Awareness.
  • Dr. Rushabh Shah, Consultant, Functional Neurosurgery, on "Epilepsy: Myths, Facts and Treatment," addressing common misconceptions and explaining modern treatment approaches.

The event is expected to draw BCI members, industrialists, business leaders, women entrepreneurs, young professionals and residents from across Udaipur. Organizers said the objective is to encourage early screening, timely treatment and healthier lifestyles through increased public awareness. Admission is free.
