Kota Police Under SP Tejaswini Gautam Records Drop in Crime, Seizes Rs 10 Crore Worth of Narcotics

Kota: Under the leadership of City SP Tejaswini Gautam, Kota has seen a significant reduction in crime compared to last year. Homicide cases in the state have dropped by 53%, while attempted murders decreased by 5% and robbery cases fell by 56%. Cases related to crimes against women also recorded an 18% decline, marking a major achievement for the police.

Speaking to the media on Monday about law and order in Kota, SP Gautam stated that effective, continuous action in 2025, carried out in line with directives from the Police Headquarters, has yielded positive results. During the year, the police seized illegal narcotics worth approximately Rs 10 crore.

 Crackdown on Knife Crimes and Habitual Offenders

SP Gautam highlighted that strict measures are being taken to curb knife-related crimes, with stern action against habitual offenders.

 Action Against Trafficking Involving Minors

Regarding the ongoing anti-drug campaign, she said that those forcing minors into drug trafficking have been dealt with firmly, and cases have been registered under the JJ Act.

 Improved Traffic Management

On traffic management, SP Gautam noted that a special traffic park has been developed at the Traffic Office. Here, vehicle drivers will first be educated about traffic rules before their online challans are processed. The Traffic Garden is set to be inaugurated soon by the Lok Sabha Speaker.

 Reduction in Road Accidents

The SP further reported that road accidents in Kota city have also decreased compared to previous years, with a decline in fatalities. Concrete strategies are being developed to further reduce accidents in the future. SP Tejaswini Gautam emphasized: *“Even if our efforts save just one life, that is our greatest success.”*
