Kota: Kota City Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam (IPS) stated that a special campaign is being conducted across the district to curb illegal activities. Acting under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police Dilip Saini and the supervision of DSP Manish Sharma (RPS), a police team led by Ranpur Police Station In-charge Sub-Inspector Bhim Singh carried out a major operation.
During the कार्रवाई, police recovered a significant cache of illegal arms from history-sheeter criminal Kalu Bhadak of Ranpur Police Station area. The seized weapons include two country-made pistols with magazines, four additional magazines, five country-made firearms (kattas), and 27 live cartridges.
Sequence of Events
The police team intercepted the accused, Kalu Bhadak, in the RIICO Ranpur area while he was traveling in a Tata Safari vehicle (Registration No. RJ-20-UA-8899). Upon checking the vehicle, officers recovered two country-made pistols with magazines, two extra magazines, one country-made firearm, and 15 live cartridges from his possession. The weapons and vehicle were seized, and the accused was arrested on the spot.
Subsequently, a search of the आरोपी’s residence led to the recovery of four additional country-made firearms, 12 live cartridges, and two magazines. Police are currently investigating the source of the weapons, possible arms trafficking links, and the involvement of other suspects in the case.
The police team involved in the operation included Constables Mahavir, Vishvendra, and Mukesh from Ranpur Police Station; Sub-Inspector Bhim Singh; Assistant Sub-Inspector Surajmal; K. Puram Police Station In-charge Ramvilas Meena; Assistant Sub-Inspector Rais Mohammad; and Constables Pradeep and Rahul. Constable Vishvendra of Ranpur Police Station played a particularly significant role in cracking the case.
