Five-Day Book Fair and Kota Literary Festival

*Kota | The five-day regional-level book fair and Kota Literary Festival commenced today, February 11, at the C.A.D. Dadabadi State Public Library in Kota. The event, organized by the Rajasthan State Public Mandal Library, will continue from February 12, 2024, Monday, to February 15, 2024, Friday. Dr. Deepak Srivastava, the library director, informed that the inaugural session, scheduled at 11 a.m., will witness the illumination of the Maa Saraswati Deep by esteemed guests.*

*The main guests for the inaugural session include Mahendra Kumar Khinchi (Director of Language and Library Department, Rajasthan, Jaipur), chaired by Dr. Poonam Gupta (Special Officer, Language and Library Department, Rajasthan, Jaipur). Special guests for the event include Dr. M.L. Agrawal, a senior psychiatrist, renowned author Jitendra Nirmohi, Dr. Atul Chaturvedi, Ambika Datt Chaturvedi, and others.*

*The book fair will showcase more than 5000 main titles and over 4000 publications from various publishing houses. Additionally, an extensive exhibition of works by prominent and emerging literary figures from the Hadoti region will attract young, female, and senior readers.*

*The inaugural session will be addressed by Dr. Deepak Srivastava, the Regional Library Director, and the convener, Sneh Lata Sharma. In the first session of the literary festival, Dr. Vivek Mishra will discuss "Books, Society, and Library Thoughts," followed by a conversation with lyricist Jitendra Nirmohi on the subject of "Writing songs for Geet by Jitendra Nirmohi." The session will include an interview with the author. The third session is dedicated to Murli Gaur's Rajasthani songs, organized by Suresh Pandit. Afterward, a session on the discussion of Shyama Sharma's memoir "Vai Dan Vai Batan" will be conducted by Vijay Joshi. The festival will continue with Vandan Sharma's folk songs, Vishnu Harihar's presentation of songs, Suresh Pandit's humorous satirical songs, an evening dedicated to poet Chand Sheri's ghazals, and the presentation of contemporary poetry by Haricharan Aharwal in the "Bawli" collection.*

*The organizer, Shashi Jain, has emphasized the participation of not only literary figures but also enlightened citizens of society to ensure maximum involvement and contribution to the literary culture.*

*Media coordinator Nahush Vyas mentioned that this event will create a literary awareness atmosphere in Kota city during the five-day celebration.*
