Jaipur . Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani, adding new dimensions to the fourth session of the 16th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, adjourned it indefinitely at 4:58 pm on Wednesday. The national anthem was played at the end of the session. Shri Devnani informed that the fourth session of the 16th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly began on Monday, 1 September. Speaker Shri Devnani informed that a total of 06 meetings were held in this session. The proceedings of the fourth session continued for 18 hours and 40 minutes till 10 September.

*91.5 percent answers received-* Shri Devnani informed that Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha has received answers to 91.5 percent questions of the first three sessions of the 16th Vidhan Sabha. He informed that in the first session, out of 2098 questions, 2073 answers have been received by the Vidhan Sabha. Similarly, out of 7945 questions in the second session, 7657 questions and out of 9701 questions in the third session, 8351 questions have been received by the Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha. Shri Devnani informed that due to continuous review with the officials, Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha has received answers to a large number of questions on time for the first time. Shri Devnani said that in the fourth session, a total of 3008 questions were received, out of which 1237 were starred questions, 1770 were unstarred questions and one was short notice question. A total of 120 starred questions were listed, out of which 53 questions were asked orally and their answers were also given. Similarly, 119 unstarred questions were also listed.

*78% answers received to calling attention proposals under Rule 131-* Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani said that under Rule 131 of the procedure, information regarding 437 proposals was received. Out of which 14 proposals were rejected. 02 proposals were listed in the agenda to attract the attention of the concerned ministers in the House. He informed that in the first session, 142 proposals were received out of which answers were received for 136. Similarly, in the second session, out of 733 proposals, answers were received for 707 and in the third session, out of 811 proposals, answers were received for 732. Shri Devnani said that for the first time, the Assembly has received answers to 78% calling attention proposals.

*134 adjournment motions under Rule 50 of Procedure-* Shri Devnani informed that a total of 134 adjournment motions were received from the members under Rule 50 of Procedure. Out of these, 21 adjournment motions were given the opportunity to speak in the House and 17 MLAs expressed their views.

*94 percent answers were received for the special mention motions under Rule-295-* Shri Devnani informed that 95 special mention motions were received from the MLAs under Rule-295 of Procedure. Out of these, 78 special mention motions were read in the House or were considered to be read. 15 special mention motions lapsed due to the absence of MLAs in the House. He informed that a total of 59 motions were received in the first session, answers to all of which have been received. A total of 255 motions were received in the second session, out of which answers to 249 were received. A total of 337 motions were received in the third session, out of which answers to 307 were received. Shri Devnani informed that a total of 651 proposals were received in all three sessions, out of which answers were received for 615 and only 36 are pending. Their answers will also be received by the Vidhan Sabha soon.

*Slips -* Shri Devnani informed that a total of 267 slips were received from the MLAs. Out of which a total of 20 slips were selected by the scroll and the concerned MLAs presented their views before the House.

*Legislative work -* Shri Devnani informed that a total of 07 bills were introduced in the current session and 03 bills presented by the Select Committee, a total of 10 bills were passed by the House and 01 bill was withdrawn. He informed that a total of 161 amendment proposals were received from the members on the bills, out of which 46 amendment proposals were rejected at the secretariat level and 115 amendments were accepted. Shri Devnani said that in the last session, a total of 12 bills were introduced and 10 bills were passed by the House and 3 bills were handed over to the Select Committee. A total of 210 amendment proposals were received from the members on the bills, out of which 39 amendment proposals were rejected at the secretariat level and 171 amendments were accepted.
