Kota, December — In a major breakthrough, the Railway Colony Police Station team led by CI Ramswaroop Meena arrested three men accused of cheating an elderly woman and fleeing with her gold jewellery.

The arrested accused have been identified as Prabhu Gujarati, Virchand (Jaipur resident), and Ganesh. Police recovered gold ornaments stolen from the victim and also seized the motorcycle used in the crime.

Kota City SP Tejaswini Gautam informed that, given the seriousness of the case, Additional SP Dilip Kumar Saini instructed the formation of a special police team under DSP Dr. Poonam. The team included Head Constable Ramswaroop, Constables Ajit, Namo Narayan, and Laxman.

According to the police, on 1 December, the accused approached Baijanti Bai, an elderly woman residing near Shivaji Colony Canal Road, and lured her with false promises of money before fleeing with her gold earrings.

Following swift action and coordinated investigation, the police arrested all three accused and recovered the stolen jewellery.
