Pratapgarh / Under the directions of the Hon’ble Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur, and the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, a legal awareness camp was organized today on the occasion of National Children’s Day, 14 November 2025. The program was conducted by Kedar Nath, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Pratapgarh (Additional District & Sessions Judge), along with Legal and Defense Counsel Assistant Dipendra Singh Chauhan at Mahatma Gandhi School, Paliwal Gali, Pratapgarh. Panel Advocate Ramesh Chandra Sharma conducted a similar camp at Government School, Nai Abadi, Pratapgarh, while the Legal and Defense Counsel Deputy organized another camp at Mayur School, Pratapgarh.

Information was provided to students regarding National Children’s Day along with key legal provisions related to children, such as the Prohibition of Child Marriage, Prevention of Child Labour, the Right of Girls to Education, Free and Compulsory Education for Children, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences, Child-friendly Legal Services, and various legal rights concerning children. The sessions were addressed by the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Pratapgarh, Legal and Defense Counsel Advocates Dinesh Telkar and Dipendra Singh Chauhan, and Panel Advocate Ramesh Chandra Sharma.

The officers interacted with children and encouraged them to inform their families about RALSA’s campaign “Nyay Aapke Dwaar – Quick and Accessible Solutions to Public Utility Issues.” They explained that under this campaign, grievances related to essential public services—such as electricity, water, transport, banking and insurance, municipal services, health facilities, educational services, housing and land-related services, LPG services, and more—can be submitted in the prescribed format or through a simple handwritten application directly via WhatsApp to Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority’s dedicated mobile number: 9119365734. All received complaints will be processed as per the rules.

Kedar Nath informed that upon receiving a complaint, Para-Legal Volunteers will contact the complainant and prepare a report. Thereafter, the District Legal Services Authority will appoint Legal Aid Defense Counsel or Panel Advocates for representation before the Permanent Lok Adalat, ensuring free legal assistance to the public. This mechanism will help in providing easy, transparent, and timely solutions to public issues.

All teachers and staff members of the schools were also briefed about the campaign and its objectives. They were encouraged to support widespread awareness and to motivate children to participate in promoting this initiative.
