Prof. Sarangdevot created a false image of a noble vice chancellor by media management but in reality he indulged in reckless nepotism in recruitments and promotions of teaching and non-teaching employees. The employees who were on strike reported that in his tenure the employees were denied their basic rights as bonus, uniform to fourth class employees, DA to employees as announced by the state governments from time to time, Seniority was thwarted in promotions and in giving regular grades, Pay Slip was not given to the employees which is a legal right of the employees, PF Statement was not given to employees even to the employees at the time of retirement, personal file and service book of employees were never updated nor were made available to the employees even at the time of retirement, Increment order were not issued , promotions after 9-18-27 years of service were not given while those who were close to him were given promotions out of turn, gratuity was not given to the employees who retired in his tenure. Several employees remained on contract for ten to fifteen years but one Vinita Shaktawat d/o shaitan singh shaktawat-research assistant who was appointment vide order number JRVRVU/ESTA/2025-26/7220-25 dated 26-2-2026 on the salary of Rs.18000 on Adhoc basis was appointed on regular basis vide order number JRNRVU/esta/2025-26/2115-20 dated 21/7/2026- at the salary of Rs.21600 . She was regularized in six months. In addition following relatives of Prof. S.S.Sarangdevot were appointed and promoted out of turn in his tenure- Dr. Yuvraj singh-Nephew- Professor, Neeru Rathore- Niece- Associate Professor, Rajendra singh Sarangdevot, Nephew, Khushbu Rathore- Associate Professor-Nephew’s wife, Nardev singh Sarangdevot-Nephew-AssociateProfessor, Surendra Singh Sarangdevot – Electrician, Karan Singh Sarangdevot – Physical Education, Dilip Singh- Electrician, Yuvraj Singh – Nursing, Mahaveer Singh- Accounts, Ratan Singh- Examination, Chandra Bhan Singh –Central Office, Lokendra Singh – Law – Nephew of Nephew Dr Yuvraj Singh, Ram Singh- Central office, Monika Sarangdevot- Assistant Professor, Garvit Singh Sarangdevot, Onkar Singh-Driver, Chhatrapal Singh, Dashrath Singh –Driver. There were more people who got the benefit of appointment and other benefits because he wanted to improve his position in the election of Vidya Pracharini Sabha in Bhupal Nobles University. He obliged political leaders, media houses, police officers and other influential people to gain personal favours.
