Udaipur: Sai Tirupati University, Umarda, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The ceremony began with the singing of Vande Mataram, followed by the unfurling of the national flag by University President Dr. Prashant Nahar, Registrar Dr. Devendra Jain, Principal of Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences Dr. Suresh Chandra Goyal and principals of the university’s constituent colleges.

The national anthem was followed by a salute to the Tricolor and a march-past by volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS).

The cultural program began with a welcome address by Dr. Dileep Kumar Pareek. Sai Tirupati University Chairperson Ashish Agrawal, CEO Sheetal Agrawal and Managing Director Naman Agrawal extended Independence Day greetings and best wishes to students and staff members.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Nahar highlighted the significance of the 80th Independence Day and paid tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters. He emphasized the role of students in nation-building and appreciated their contribution toward national development. He also highlighted the university’s achievements and wished students of management, medical, nursing, paramedical and pharmacy programs a bright future.

Dr. Narendra Goyal briefed the gathering about the work and achievements of the newly established multispecialty PIMS City Hospital.

The main attraction of the celebration was a series of patriotic cultural performances by students from the university’s constituent colleges. Faculty members for their outstanding contributions were honored during the event, while students who delivered notable performances were presented certificates of appreciation.

The program was hosted by MBBS students Sanjana Agrawal and Fiza Malik, from the 2022 and 2023 batches, respectively. Harsh Vaghela, Umanshu Gupta, Hinal, Sneha Agrawal and Srishti Pandey contributed to the cultural presentations and overall coordination of the event.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Ajay Kumar Chaudhary.
