Marking 10 years of establishing India as a key global destination for world music, this landmark edition brings together some of the most celebrated Indian musicians alongside international artists from over 10 countries, reinforcing the festival’s reputation as one of India’s most distinctive and immersive music experiences.

Star-Studded Indian Line-Up

Among the major highlights are powerhouse Indian performers including Kailash Kher, who will mesmerise audiences with his soul-stirring folk and Sufi renditions, and Amit Trivedi, known for his electrifying live performances that seamlessly blend tradition with contemporary soundscapes.

Adding further colour to the festival are Jonita Gandhi, with her global Bollywood and independent pop appeal; Taba Chake, celebrated for his deeply personal, folk-influenced compositions; and Amrit Ramnath, who redefines classical music through modern interpretations rooted in rigorous training.

The festival will also feature iconic bands and producers such as Indian Ocean, pioneers of Indian fusion rock, and OAFF, one of India’s most exciting contemporary music producers, bringing a fresh, modern rhythm to the celebration.

A Truly Global Musical Experience

Enhancing its international identity, the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2026 will host several artists performing in India for the very first time. Global acts include Céline Sumbulutépe (Turkey), Calle Mambo (Chile) with their energetic Latin rhythms, and Valerie Ekoumé (Cameroon), who blends Afro-pop and Afro-rock.

The international line-up also features Sofiane Saidi (Algeria), Lucibela (Cape Verde), 9 Grader Nord (Norway), Vołosi (Poland), and Flamenco Dream (Spain)—a unique father-son duo carrying forward a rich flamenco legacy across generations. Together, these performances promise a rare cross-continental musical journey for audiences from India and abroad.

Three Moods, Three Iconic Venues

What sets VUWMCF apart is its distinctive curation across three moods of the day:

Meditative mornings at Manji Ka Ghat starting at 9:00 AM

Romantic afternoon sessions at Fateh Sagar Paal from 3:30 PM

High-energy contemporary evenings at Gandhi Ground from 6:00 PM

Voices Behind the Vision

Speaking on the milestone edition, Arun Misra, CEO, Hindustan Zinc, said that completing ten years is a remarkable achievement that reflects the festival’s growing cultural significance in India and globally. He highlighted how the festival has evolved into a global platform celebrating world music while honouring Rajasthan’s rich musical heritage, strengthening Udaipur’s position as a hub for international cultural exchange.

Sanjeev Bhargava, Founder of SEHER, added that the carefully curated artist line-up ensures an emotionally immersive experience—from mindful mornings to high-energy evenings—true to the festival’s ethos. As the festival celebrates a decade, the focus remains on bringing rare global sounds to India while deeply connecting audiences with the spirit of Udaipur.

Beyond Music: A Commitment to Culture and Community

Hindustan Zinc continues its dedication to preserving and promoting India’s cultural heritage through initiatives such as the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival, Srijan – The Spark, and Smritiyaan, which honours the legacy of legendary tabla maestro, Oscar nominee and BAFTA awardee Pandit Chatur Lal.

Alongside music, the Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon, acclaimed as one of India’s most scenic races, raises awareness and support for combating rural malnutrition in Rajasthan—further reinforcing the company’s commitment to social impact and community development.

Through these initiatives, Hindustan Zinc is positioning Rajasthan as a global cultural destination, attracting visitors from around the world while fostering meaningful social change.
